| Description | Screen includes aerobic culture, transmission electron microscopy for rotavirus and coronavirus, and modified acid-fast stain for Cryptosporidium. If animal is less than two weeks of age, E. coli virulence genes by PCR are included. Bovine only: The calf diarrhea PCR panel for rotavirus, coronavirus, and Cryptosporidium will be performed in lieu of electron microscopy and microscope evaluation of acid-fast stained smears. |
