Beginning August 4, 2025, the NDSU VDL will update its swine PCR testing options. The current singleplex assay for porcine deltacoronavirus (PDCoV) and the multiplex swine enteric assay (targeting PEDV, TGEV, and PRV-A) will be discontinued.
In their place, the following assays will be available:
- PRRSV Singleplex Assay – $55
- Porcine Coronavirus Multiplex Assay (PEDV, TGEV, PDCoV) – $70
Both assays are validated for serum and oral fluid samples. While tissue and fecal samples are not currently validated, they may still be tested and reported with a disclaimer. Please contact the NDSU VDL if you have any questions.
