| Description | This method is intended to confirm a carbapenemase producing Enterobacterales or Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolate. The mCIM can detect KPCs, metallo-beta-lactamases (NDM, VIM, IMP) and OXA types of carbapenemases but does not distinguish between classes. If carbapenemase production is confirmed, appropriate public health agencies will be notified per local requirements. |
