On-site or Remote Anatomic Veterinary Pathologist Position

The North Dakota State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (VDL) invites applications for a Diagnostic Veterinary Anatomic Pathologist. Duties can be performed remotely or on-site at the NDSU VDL located in Fargo, ND. 

This is a benefited, non-tenure track position in a fully accredited diagnostic laboratory and NAHLN member. Pathology board certification or eligibility and a DVM degree or equivalent are required. The applicant must also have experience with a quality system. Preference will be given to pathologists who have a special interest in toxicology.

Responsibilities include histopathologic evaluation and interpretation of biopsy and necropsy slides, case coordination with on-site pathologists, a boarded veterinary toxicologist, and other diagnosticians, four-weeks of on-site necropsy duty per year to cover other faculty leave, anatomic pathology resident training, interpretation of toxicology findings under the guidance of a boarded veterinary toxicologist, and participation in rounds, seminars, and continuing education.
