Notice to clients: Transitioning to a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

The North Dakota State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is modernizing our Laboratory Information Management System

We will begin transitioning to our new Laboratory Information Management system (LIMS) on Monday, March 14, 2022.

The new LIMS, MATRIX GEMINI, is designed to improve workflow within the lab while enhancing the services we offer to our clients.

Amongst the many exciting changes, clients may notice a redesign of reports and financial statements, as well as a new client portal.

Fax and paper copies will not be available with the new system. If a copy of the report is to be sent to the owner, include the owner’s email address on the submission form.

All cases received on or before March 11, 2022 will remain accessible on the legacy portal. All new cases received on or after March 14, 2022 will be accessible via the new LIMS portal. Instructions for accessing this portal and creating a new login will be available on the VDL website.

Please contact the laboratory with questions or concerns.
