Sample labeled with a securely affixed piece of tape. Sample ID is clearly marked on the tape. The sleeve is knotted at the end of the sleeve and at the base of the hand to ensure containment of feces.

Samples MUST be labeled with the sample number (1, 2, 3, etc.) that corresponds with the identification form. To avoid processing delays, samples must be labeled with a sample number and identification forms must be submitted electronically.

An additional charge will be added to cases if sample numbers are not included on the fecal sample. Label samples with permanent marker. Allow the ink to fully dry to avoid smudging.

The animal ID and sample ID are both present. The caps are securely closed and the outside of the container is free of feces.

DO NOT submit samples in grocery bags. They leak, are prone to tearing, and are difficult to process. Also, this is a good example of TOO MUCH sample.

DO NOT submit samples in Whirl-paks. They are messy and difficult for the laboratory to process.
