Submission Fee  $50.00
 Accession Fee   $7.00

An accession fee will be applied to all cases except serology and clinical chemistry cases. The submission fee covers a routine laboratory study including histopathology, bacteriology (aerobic culture and 2 sensitivities), virology, and parasitology as required by the pathologist. Up to two (2) mammals or three (3) birds from a common disease outbreak will be considered as one case and a single fee will apply. A necropsy/disposal fee will be added to all cases involving whole animals. Additional fees may be assessed for toxicology, serology, clinical pathology and referral laboratory charges.
Additional information about services :
A 20% surcharge will be added to submissions from outside North Dakota.
$5.00 charge for all shipping containers returned to clients.
$20.00 shipping/handling charge for all samples sent to a referral laboratory.
$25.00 fee will be charged for leaky packages.
Live animals are
not accepted.

For cases involving insurance claims or litigation, contact the laboratory for instructions. Legal cases will be charged a $250.00 base price to cover cost of chain of custody handling.

The Laboratory retains the right to refuse any sample that may pose a risk or danger to lab personnel. No human samples will be accepted. Samples that are contaminated with blood, urine, feces, etc. may be refused. No bodies, carcasses or body parts will be returned to the submitter. The submitter is responsible for adherence to sample shipping regulations. We reserve the right to subcontract any work required to complete testing on submissions. Any work that is subcontracted will be indicated as such on the report. We are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Limited emergency weekend service is available, as well as a 24 hour depository.
