General Investigation- equine/companion animal

The general investigation submission fee covers a routine laboratory study which may include the following tests: histopathology with special stains, bacteriology (2 aerobic cultures and 1 anaerobic), PCR (1 individual or 1 multiplex test), virology (2 FAs, 1 EM, 1 VI), crytptosporidia, and fecal flotation. Additional animals on the same submission (from a common disease outbreak) will be charged at 1/2 the price.

A necropsy/disposal fee will be added to cases involving whole animals. Note: There is an additional $100.00 disposal surcharge on horses. A $50.00 emergency fee will be charged for after-hours whole animal submissions. No ashes will be returned on companion animal cremations.

Additional fees will apply for antibiotic sensitivities, immunohistochemistry, clinical pathology, toxicology, serology, referral laboratory charges, and additional PCR, virology, bacteriology, and parasitology tests.
