Electronic Data Policy & User Privacy Statements

NDVDL recognizes that individuals and organizations with which we conduct business value their privacy. However, in order to provide timely and secure services in this increasingly electronic economy, the collection of client information is often necessary and desirable. It is NDVDL's goal to balance the benefits of online service provision with the rights of clients to prevent the misuse of their personal information. The following statements discuss some of our policies relating to the informational contents, web services, online procedures,and the web sites themselves.

Statement Changes
NDVDL may update this statements in the future for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to, changes in technology, internal operations policies or the introduction/removal of services. You should refer back to this page often for the latest information.

Collection and release of gathered information
We will not obtain personal identifying information* about you when you visit our web sites, unless you choose to provide such information to us. Except in the course of officially authorized law enforcement investigations, or in the event of a suspected attempt to deliberately circumvent our system's security with the intent to gain unauthorized access, to do physical damage or impede proper operation, we do not attempt to identify individual users or share any information we receive with any parties outside of the NDVDL.

* "Personally identifying information" is information that is directly associated with a specific person such as a user's name, address, or telephone number, e-mail address, location information, or even sometimes information about online or network activities (e.g., log files of web searching activities on user's system).

Information Security
NDVDL maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards for information collected through and stored in all its computer systems.

Restricted areas
Some restricted sections of this sites may require the user to present login credentials for access. Authentication and authorization procedures in this sections will only obtain information from the user necessary to create secure connections between the credential holder and our site(s), with or without requiring user's response directly.

Processing and Retention of Collected Information
Cookies - We currently do not use cookies on any part of our web sites.

Web server activity logs - Extracts of the log files and/or log file themselves are archived and stored off-line at our discretion for an indefinite period of time. Some statistical summaries derived from these data may be retained online or off-line at our discretion for an indefinite period of time. Log files are also analyzed continuously for intrusion detection and Quality Of Service monitoring purposes.

E-mail - Information submitted via e-mail (and the e-mail itself or logs of) will be retained offline at our discretion in a directly readable form for as long as necessary to complete our response and may be used to assist in future QOS improvement or other purposes deemed reasonable by NDVDL.

Session data - Within restricted areas both basic and advanced session data may be maintained for operational purposes. This data may be retained at our discretion for an indefinite period of time. Connection specific information (example: IP address and browser type) is logged and used to secure and/or customize the user's experience at our web sites. Session data is considered by NDVDL as non-personal data relating to a single instance of submitted (and accepted,rejected or logged) login credentials submitted by any user with the intent of gaining access to restricted web site sections and also extending to the users activities within this sections. Basic session data is collected in unrestricted web site sections and will usually be limited to specific request data.

Content Accuracy, Completeness, and Usability of Information
We make every effort to provide and maintain accurate, complete, usable, and timely information on our web sites. However, some data accessed through these pages may, of necessity, be preliminary in nature and presented prior to final review and approval. We make every effort to identify this type of data where it occurs. All data accessed through NDVDL web sites is provided with the understanding that they are not guaranteed to be correct or complete. Users are cautioned to consider carefully the provisional nature of these data before using them for decisions that concern personal or public safety or the conduct of business that involves substantial monetary or operational consequences. Conclusions drawn from, or actions undertaken on the basis of, such data and information are the sole responsibility of the user.

Information on NDVDL web sites may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors.

The information presented on NDVDL web sites, including but not limited to, text, images, sound, layouts and presentation technologies, may be changed at any time without prior notification or obligation.

Any externally directed links, (hyperlinks of any kind) used on any NDVDL web page are provided for the use and convenience of our clients and visitors. The appearance of such links on any NDVDL web page does not constitute an endorsement of, recommendation of or certification by NDVDL of the target site(s), their owners or sponsors, nor should the presence of such links in any way be construed as a suggestion that the target site(s), their owners or sponsors have any relationship with NDVDL. Furthermore, NDVDL is not responsible for the privacy practices of the target web sites or the organization(s) that sponsor them. Modifications to the contents of the web site by unauthorized entities whether directly or indirectly are expressly prohibited. Some images/graphics used on NDVDL web sites are used by NDVDL with permission. For other uses, you may need to obtain permission from the respective copyright holder under the US copyright law.
NDVDL is not responsible for content illegally obtained from NDVDL web sites and used without full knowledge of and approval from NDVDL administration.
