VDL Announces New Laboratory Director

The VDL is pleased to announce Brett Webb, DVM, PhD, DACVP, has accepted the position of Laboratory Director as of 1/1/17. Dr. Webb completed his graduate work and residency training at Colorado State University and has been with the VDL as a pathologist and section head of Molecular Diagnostics since 2013. In 2016 he became Associate Director of the laboratory and more recently took on the additional roles of section head for Bacteriology and Virology. He has been instrumental in the creation of the VDL website and results portal, as well as the planning and oversight of the design of the new Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. The new building is scheduled to open in early fall of 2017.

Dr. Webb replaced Dr. Neil Dyer who recently stepped down from the VDL administrative role after 20 years as Director. Dr. Dyer will continue handling cases as a pathologist in the lab and is looking forward to supporting Dr. Webb in his new role, teaching animal health classes at NDSU and advising pre-veterinary students.
